Charlotte, NC - In keeping with the return to glamour, this Fall, designers have filled their collections with all things deep, rich and luxurious. Basic black is updated to include wardrobe essentials such as charcoal, espresso and forest green as the canvas to showcase the richly detailed textures of new fabrics shown in rich shades of crimson, magenta and peacock.
The full collections of four design houses will be shown during Rahe Lynne Clothier’s Fall 2006 Designer Showcase featuring collections from Europe, North and South America. The event will be held at the by-appointment boutique’s South End Showroom, May 7 – May 13, 2006.
Metal yarns continue to emerge as a strong component of many fabrics, providing the backbone of texture and streamlined silhouettes prevalent in the Fall Designer Collections. Opulent fabrics, like cashmere, mohair, weightless leather, are all imbued with rich texture and depth of color. Classic tweeds and glen plaids are entwined with rich velvets giving the traditional looks a modern more feminine appeal. Intricate detailing in everything from finely knit sweaters to pin tuck, pleated blouses and cascading ruffled skirts brings the focus to the fabric.

The results are timelessly elegant pieces that will enhance each woman’s wardrobe according to her lifestyle needs.”
