Donohue’s
Passion for Fashion Lands Her Coveted
Internship
with Rahe Lynne Clothier
Donohue, a native

Her fashion savvy
was apparent even though she worked most days in a clinical lab coat. Friends and colleagues frequently sought her
out for fashion advice. One thing lead
to another and Donohue found herself freelancing as a personal shopper. “Working with patients in clinical trials was
very grounding. They inspired me to live life and to follow my dreams,” says
Donohue. Ultimately her mother
recognized the internal conflict and encouraged Donohue to pursue her dream, a
career in fashion marketing.
“I’m very excited
about the Rahe Lynne internship,” states Donohue. “It presents a unique opportunity to gain
both experience and exposure in many areas of the fashion industry; from
merchandising to advertising, as well as, the hands-on essentials of running a
business.”
Lynne Byrd, Owner
of Rahe Lynne Clothier, agrees, “Meghan is a fabulous addition to our
team. Her enthusiasm for the business
combined with her natural eye for fashion and design adds a dimension to our
staff that allows us to pursue creative projects, while giving Meghan practical
business experience.”
Donohue has
achieved Dean’s List every quarter since her enrollment at the Art Institute
and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.8.
She will complete her degree in the spring of 2007, and intends to
pursue both the creative and business aspects of the fashion industry.
Established in 1998, Rahe Lynne Clothier is a
by-appointment-only boutique, presenting a New York-style showroom in the heart
