New
York Designer
Finds Inspiration in the
Stylish Art Deco Period
The Fall 2006 Lafayette 148 Collection returns to
Rahe Lynne Clothier September
8 – 19, 2006
Charlotte,
NC – From the “Chrysler”
Dress to the “Marilyn” Blouse, Lafayette
148 gives a grand nod to the days of refined, elegantly detailed glamour
reminiscent of the lavish Art Deco period.
Designed for the confident and refined women who enjoy a sophisticated
modern sensibility, the Lafayette 148 Fall 2006 Collection is resplendent with
a wide range of fresh new silhouettes in an array of luxurious new fabrics that
are easy to wear for work or play, night or day.
The Fall 2006
collection for Lafayette
148 will return to Rahe Lynne Clothier for a special current season showing. The trunkshow
will be held at the by-appointment boutique’s private South End showroom, September
8 – September 19, 2006.
The Art Deco period, known
for innovative design and exquisite attention to detail, provided Edward
Wilkerson, Lafayette 148 Design Director, with inspiration for the Fall 2006
Collection. Fabrics this season are as
rich and luxurious as the silhouettes are stylish and sophisticated. Fur Trimmed jackets, weightless leather and
rich velvets are all imbued with exquisite beading, embroidery and stitching detail,
bringing the focus to the textural elements of the garments.
“Lafayette
148 is one of our most popular designers,” states Lynne Byrd, owner of Rahe
Lynne Clothier. “And their Fall
Collection is one of the best I have ever seen.
Although we typically show collections a season ahead, the popularity of
the Lafayette
brand necessitates a return of the collection during the current season.”
“Additionally, Lafayette
148 has one of the most extensive collections in both Petite and Plus
sizing. And with our excellent
relationship, we are often able to customize selections in color and fabric for
our clients that gives them options not available elsewhere”, states Byrd.
Established in 1998, Rahe Lynne
Clothier is a by-appointment-only boutique, presenting a New York-style
showroom in the heart of the historic South End in Charlotte, North
Carolina. The boutique brings the latest in
fashion for business, evening, resort wear, and accessories from all over the
world. Many of the lines featured by Rahe Lynne Clothier are exclusive,
offering the ability to customize orders in fabric and accoutrements for
clients. Additionally, the showroom offers a large selection of styles
ranging from petites through plus sizes. Rahe Lynne showcases its latest
discoveries at multiple private showings throughout the year. At hours
convenient to clients, Rahe Lynne provides one-on-one attention, wardrobe
analysis, pick up and delivery. As an added benefit, Rahe Lynne keeps detailed
client records, which facilitates wardrobe building from season to season.
Offering the best in style and personal service, the retailer is often asked by
clients to seek out unique items especially for them. Lynne Byrd, a native Charlottean, currently resides in Concord, NC.
